White Widow has been a celebrated strain since the mid 1990s whenit first made its appearance in the Nertherlands. White Widow is 65% indica and was named after its prolific coat of white resin. Its structure is typically indica, a Christmas-tree shape with a strong central stem and supplementary side-branches. Quite easy to grow as long as relative humidity is kept no higher than 60% as mould can be an issue where this is higher. Indoors, plants need only moderate nutrients while outdoors this is a strain that thrives on a good amount of sun and fairly dry conditions. Indoors, the flowering time is about 55 days with yields of 550 gr/m2 expected. Outdoors plants can grow 250 cm. tall, and growers can expect to obtain up to 900 gr/plant with northern hemisphere crops ready in the first half of October. At maturity buds and smaller leaves are plastered in shiny, white resin-exuding trichomes. While the scent is fresh and floral the taste is quite different with sweet 'n' sour fruity notes against the floral canvas. THC content ranges from 14 - 20% with very low CBD. The effect is typically indica, physically relaxing and very long-lasting. Therapeutically, White Widow is recommended for pain relief.
