Malibu Gold OG is an indica-dominant (60%) hybrid that results from crossing Mendo Purps with Purple Kush. Malibu Gold OG plants are tall and have a fast flowering period and produce very good yields. It is easy enough for beginners to succeed with yet also has enough quality for the connoisseur of cannabis. Nice purple shades later in flowering. Malibu Gold OG is adaptable to vatious growing techniques and substrates. Plants are strong with large fan leaves and supportive side-branches for its large buds. The sativa genetics find expression in less tight internodal spacing than is seen in more indica-dominant strains as well as in the plants' final height. Indoor plants reach a height of 120 cm. or more, producing yields of 450 - 500 gr/m2 in a 45 - 55 day flowering period. Outdoors in sunny climates plants can grow taller than 200 cm. in height and deliver yields of 600 gr/plant. Four phenotypes are likely to be found, although these are trickier to identify by other than more experienced eyes. Leaves show a range of autumnal colours close to harvest but the true reward is from the chunky, round purple buds that are sticky with resin. Carbon filters are recommended due to the plants' powerful scent during flowering. Both scent and flavour inherits qualities from both indica and sativa sides; musky earthiness from the indica side along with a sweetness from the sativa. The effect is very motivating and is a great all-day weed, calming while also happy and euphoric.
