Caramba is an indica-dominant hybrid that resulted from a cross between Paradise Seeds' own Wappa strain with the sweet, resinous Gelato 33. Growers can expect big yields of purple/pink-toned, high-THC buds in a fast flowering period. It's an easy to grow strain with very good resistant properties. While novice growers can obtain great success with Caramba, the more experienced hoticulturalist will be able to fully realise its high potential. Indoor growers will need to defoliate to thin out the leaf density and allow for better light penetration. Plants will grow a little over 100 cm. tall and after the first five weeks of flowering it is recommended to trim off the lowest 30 cm. of thin branches, a process known as 'lollipopping'. After approx. 55 - 60 days yields of 600 gr/m2 can be produced. Outdoors each plant can produce as much as 900 gr. with northern hemisphere harvests taking place during early October. The range of cultivability outdoors is up to 50º north and south, a wide range due to this strain's resistance and adaptability. The scent and flavour of Caramba betray its Skunk origins with a good shot of the terpene limonene to provide an orange citrus sharpness. The palate reveals notes of strawberry and diesel fuel. THC content is high at 24% although, despite its indica-dominance, the effect is not at all couch-lock. Rather, it is very uplifting, social, creative and good for day-time consumption. Therapeutically it is said to lift low mood as well as stimulating the appetite.
