Buddha Classic White Widow is derived from a true classic that was first introduced to the Dutch market in 1994. Originally bred from a sativa crossed with an indica hybrid, it was winner of the High Times Cannabis Cup the very next year and has remained a firm favourite in Dutch coffeeshops ever since. When first introduced White Widow wasn't a very big producer but this was worked on and developments have resulted in what is now a high-yielding strain full of resin. Indoors, plants take 65 - 70 days to complete flowering with some excellent yields in the range 500 - 650 gr/m2. Grown outdoors, plants are ready to harvest either towards the end of October or April depending whether cultivated in the northern or southern hemisphere. Each plant is able to produce 500 - 2000 gr. Mature buds are covered in resin, so much so that they appear white - hence the name. Expect a complex flavour of spice, pine resin and wood with just a little variation in phenotypes. The effect is hard-hitting, powerful and ultimately relaxing, but perhaps not suitable for the novice consumer.
