Apricot Candy Feminised is a powerful sativa-dominant strain bred from Dutch Dragon and Thin Mints GSC. Apricot Candy is a stable, uniform strain with a medium level of grow difficulty. Apricot Candy plants have a sativa structure with a high degree of stretch yet develops big, dense indica-style buds on strong side-branches. During flowering growers can expect some attractive colours - reds, violets and blues are dominant. Resin coverage is particularly heavy. Indoors, plants grow about 100 cm. tall taking 65 days to flower with yields of about 550 gr/m2. A short vegetative growth is recommended otherwise plants will benefit from training to restrict vertical growth. Outdoors, in a warm, Mediterranean-type of climate, plants reach a height of up to 300 cm. producing as much as 1000 gr/plant. Harvest is mid-October in northern latitudes or mid-April in the southern hemisphere. At higher latitudes plants will still grow well but will be shorter with reduced yields. Limits of cultivation outdoors are 50° north and south. Caryophellene is the dominant terpene adding a 'funky' smell to that of baked fruit pie. The flavour is sweet, fruity and smooth with a vanilla note. THC levels fall between 18 - 22% and the effect is that of an immediate sativa 'rush' before becoming more floating. For experienced smokers/vapers it may be suitable as an anti-inflammatory due to its caryophellene content.
